Deacons Leader: Jerry Steele
Deacons of Elkridge BaptistChurch
Deacons are called to be servants of the church and are to serve in such a way that the word of God may increase and the number of disciples may be multiplied greatly. (See Acts 6:7) They work closely with the Pastor to enable the church in accomplishing our stated purpose of “being the body Christ in the world by: Living to Glorify God in Worship; Leading People to God through Evangelism; Loving the People of God in Fellowship; Learning to be more like God through Discipleship; and Laboring for God in Ministry.”
The Deacons prepare communion as scheduled and serve the congregation as the Pastor leads. The Deacons establish and maintain personal and fraternal relationships with the church families and provide relief, encouragement, and assistance in their spiritual development
The Deacons currently serving at EBC are Wayne Browning,
Ray Decker, Lee Falk, Kevin Steele, Jerry Steele and
Charles “Buddy” Warthen.
