Dr. Bridges has been our bi-vocational pastor at EBC since 2003. Working another “fulltime” job, a lot of the work usually done by a pastor is done at EBC by the members. We believe this is the way God always intended his church to work anyway. Our effort is to make Christ, not the pastor, the head and center of our lives and this church.
If you are perfect or looking for a perfect place, you probably will not be happy at Elkridge Baptist Church. We are not perfect. We are a loving, caring group of people; but as any family, we have our faults and short-comings. We are a work in progress. We are a relative small group of people (60 average) who believe that God is calling us to minister to this community. We are striving to build a relationship with God and with one another that Jesus demonstrated for us in the gospels.
We invite you to join us, check us out, and ask whatever questions you want. If you believe God is calling you to be a part of what he is doing with EBC, then we will welcome you into our family with open arms. However, if God is not leading you to EBC, we want you to follow God’s will. Our primary task is not to grow a church; it is to follow God’s will in our life. And we would want the same for you.
